The Dipper, in the stream 50 meters away from my house, is back this year too after residing up in the North. Camera is a Canon EOS 30D with tele lens Canon EF 300 mm 1:4 L IS and extender Canon EF 1.4x II.
This is an experiment trying to film the Dipper (Cinclus cinclus) through my 10x42 binoculars. The same clip is repeated four times in this video. All handheld with image stabilizer on in the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 camera. Zoom in camera approx. 1.5 so all setup corresponds to a 15x spotting tube. Not so good result as you can see. It all had to be done very quick as I could not know how long this here seldom seen bird would stay in the stream.
